The National Interconnected Electric System (SENI) was fully restored and stabilized by 11:53 p.m. on Monday following a nationwide incident. Minister of Energy and Mines, Joel Santos, confirmed that technical investigations began immediately to identify the causes of the outage.
The restoration process focused on maintaining frequency stability and balancing electricity generation with demand. Continuous coordination occurred at the Control Center among senior officials from the Dominican Electricity Transmission Company (ETED), the Superintendency of Electricity, the National Energy Commission (CNE), and the Unified Council of Electricity Distribution Companies (CUED) to ensure a secure restoration.
