Funding Announced for Energy Resilience Projects in Niedersachsen
The Energy Research Center Niedersachsen (efzn) has selected five projects for funding aimed at enhancing the crisis resilience of the energy system in Niedersachsen. These projects will be carried out at various universities and are part of a broader initiative to address unforeseen challenges to energy supply systems.

The Energy Research Center Niedersachsen (efzn) has finalized funding for five projects targeting the improvement of energy system resilience in Niedersachsen. The chosen projects will span disciplines and address issues such as extreme weather, accidents, and security threats over a maximum six-month period from August 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027.
Notable projects include a feasibility study on green methanol as an alternative fuel and an analysis of resilience competencies needed for a robust energy system. The outcomes may significantly influence policy decisions and strategic planning for energy resilience in the region.
