The Gama Project by Altri in Palas de Rei, proposed under the Xunta led by Feijóo with an investment of €1 billion, faces cancellation due to the lack of approval for a necessary power substation. María Jesús Lorenzana indicated that without justification for the substation within three months, the project will be archived, leaving Lugo at an industrial disadvantage until 2030.

Despite social contention over the project, the Ministry of Ecological Transition has not included the substation in its planning. Lorenzana also criticized opposition leaders for obstructing industrial development in the region. The outcome of this project could significantly affect future industrial investment in Galicia.
