BIOFUELSHYDROGENSUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL
Galp plans to operationalize its advanced biofuels plant at the Sines refinery in 2026. The facility will produce renewable diesel (HVO) and sustainable aviation fuel using feedstocks such as used cooking oils, animal fats, and other biological waste, alongside green hydrogen from Galp's H2 Park. The construction phase is expected to create up to 1,050 jobs, with 226 to 276 jobs anticipated once the plant is operational.
