Construction for the Glen Waverley Civic Precinct Project has commenced, focusing on an electrical substation enclosure and the relocation of the Council back-up generator. The new substation will provide a reliable power supply for the Kingsway precinct.

Access to businesses from Kingsway remains unchanged, and the library and civic centre will remain open with safety measures in place. However, access to Century City from the forecourt entrance will be limited.

The library forecourt will be closed for the duration of the construction, expected to finish in July. FIMMA Constructions will coordinate with local businesses to minimize disruptions.
