Glovers Solar Park Commissions 10.8MW Phase 1 Plant in Midlands, Zimbabwe
The 10.8MW Glovers Solar Park in Munyati, Zimbabwe, has been commissioned and connected to the national grid, enhancing generation capacity. Developed by New Glovers Solar and New Sahara Ventures, it is part of a larger 110MW solar initiative. The project serves as a proof of concept for Zimbabwe's new Government Support Agreement framework, aimed at attracting private investment in renewable energy.

The 10.8MW Glovers Solar Park in Munyati, Zimbabwe, was officially commissioned and connected to the national grid, bolstering the country's generation capacity. Developed by New Glovers Solar and New Sahara Ventures, this project is Phase 1 of a planned 110MW solar initiative.
It supplies power to the grid managed by the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company, addressing supply constraints in the Midlands Province. The project also acts as a proof of concept for the Government Support Agreement framework, which aims to enhance the financial viability of solar independent power producers by introducing cost-reflective tariffs and prioritizing foreign exchange access for investors.
