Goiás is transitioning towards economic growth with initiatives in biogas production, data centers, and mining, led by the Mauro Borges Institute (IMB). The Economic Freedom Law has positioned Goiás as Brazil's most liberated state.
The state has significant biogas production potential, currently unexploited, and seeks to enhance agricultural contribution to its economy, estimated at nearly 40% of the total. Goiás aims to map its underground resources with international firms, potentially financing the project through agreements with Japan. The establishment of four data centers, one dedicated to AI and powered by biogas, is also planned, leveraging the region's clean energy capabilities.
