Golden Pass LNG Begins Exports Amid Global Supply Challenges
Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, has commenced its first LNG exports from Texas, with annual export expectations of 18 million tons upon full operational capacity. This launch is significant amidst fluctuating global LNG supplies and underlines the strategic importance of Gulf producers in the current market landscape.

Golden Pass LNG has initiated its first LNG export from Sabine Pass, Texas, with a project investment near $10 billion and aims to export approximately 18 million tons annually. The terminal, which includes three liquefaction trains, is expected to be one of North America's largest LNG export facilities, with a total capacity of 18.1 million tons per year.
Current gas storage levels in Europe are around 50%, significantly below the 5-year average of 65.1%, raising concerns about supply for the upcoming winter. Recent geopolitical tensions in the Gulf have further complicated global LNG supplies, impacting market prices and the stability of gas supply routes.
