Great Falls Pursues Janicki Expansion for 1,000 Jobs and $800 Million Investment
Great Falls is incentivizing Janicki's potential expansion, projected to create 1,000 jobs and invest over $800 million. Tax incentives similar to those offered to Calumet's Montana Renewables are on the table, highlighting the city's competitive strategy to attract aerospace investments.

Great Falls is offering tax incentives to aerospace company Janicki to potentially create 1,000 jobs and invest over $800 million. The proposed deal resembles incentives granted to Calumet for its biofuel project and would apply to four major projects set for completion between 2029 and 2035.
The property is situated within the East Industrial Park tax increment financing district, which diverts local taxes for economic development. Janicki is also considering an expansion site near Twin Falls, Idaho, and plans to announce its decision in late May.
The city will address the proposed tax incentives during a special meeting on May 12, coinciding with Cascade County's discussion of Janicki's tax abatement proposals. This initiative reflects Great Falls' strategy to enhance its industrial base, though it faces competition from other locations.
