Green Generation Energy Networks Ltd intends to apply for permission to develop the Vyrnwy Frankton Connection, a 132 kilovolt electricity distribution line extending 50km from energy parks in Powys near Cefn Coch to Lower Frankton in Shropshire. The project has faced opposition from Welsh farmers in the past.

A statutory consultation for stakeholder feedback is set to occur, and land will be needed for construction and environmental mitigation. The project includes a new 132 KV substation and aims to connect renewable energy generation in Powys to the national electricity grid. Approval from the Secretary of State is required.
