Griesemann to Lead Engineering for Methanol Project in Marl
The Liquidsolar Methanol project in Marl aims to demonstrate Greenlyte's technology for producing E-Fuels. The initiative is significant for enhancing supply security in renewable energy sectors.

Griesemann Gruppe will manage the Front-End Engineering Design and Basic Engineering for the Liquidsolar Methanol project in Marl, which is set to commence its first phase in Q4 2026, with operational start planned for Q1 2027. This project focuses on producing E-Fuels by converting atmospheric CO and green hydrogen into methanol, utilizing a process that integrates renewable energy sources efficiently.
The facility aims to create a stable feedstock source independent of market fluctuations. Following three and a half years of technology validation, Marl will serve as a reference for scaling the Liquidsolar technology across Europe, supported by a network of technology partners and suppliers.
