GTO as Key Solution for Grid Congestion and Energy Hubs
The Generalized Tolerance for Energy Consumption (GTO) aims to optimize joint transport capacity to relieve grid congestion, with plans initiated in 2022-2023 and a target delivery date of 2024. New Energy Coalition Projects are developing collective solutions for grid issues in industrial areas.
However, unused individual contract space is excluded from collective capacity, complicating GTO implementation. Success hinges on collaboration among entrepreneurs, which requires trust and a shared vision. Initial collective setups take approximately three years and cost over €200,000, prompting the need for realistic expectations and collaboration among a committed core group of entrepreneurs.
