Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Gumi City signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 27 to advance next-generation unmanned vehicles through the integration of quantum security technology (QRNG) and AI semiconductors (NPU). The agreement focuses on enhancing both security and intelligence, addressing challenges in data transmission and real-time AI processing.

Key projects include joint R&D, expert training in quantum and AI fields, and fostering a quantum industry ecosystem. This collaboration aims to establish a comprehensive system for joint research, demonstration, and commercialization, ultimately positioning Gyeongsangbuk-do as a hub for the K-quantum industry and advancing its unmanned vehicle sector.
