The Gyeonggi provincial government and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) have signed a memorandum of understanding to construct an underground transmission grid aimed at supplying power to SK Hynix's Yongin semiconductor industrial complex. This initiative is part of the Road-Power Grid Joint Construction Cooperation Agreement, which involves the co-development of road and power infrastructure over a 27.02 km stretch of Provincial Road 318, connecting Icheon and Yongin, near the industrial complex.
