Hainan Launches Second Batch of Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Projects for 2025-2026

On December 15, the Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Transportation, and Finance announced the launch of the second batch (2025-2026) of demonstration application projects for fuel cell vehicles and related technologies. This initiative aims to support the Hainan Province Clean Energy Vehicle Development Plan and promote new energy vehicles.

Qualified enterprises can form a 'Demonstration Application Consortium' to apply, with support limited to four selected projects. Applicants must include manufacturers, operators, and suppliers relevant to fuel cell or methanol vehicles.

Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2025, and projects will be reviewed based on fairness and transparency. Successful projects will be publicly announced and eligible for funding based on the established reward scheme, with further evaluations conducted upon project completion.
