Haryana Allocates Rs 564 Crore for Clean Energy Transition in Industries
Haryana's government plans to invest Rs 564 crore over five years to facilitate the transition of industrial units to cleaner fuels. This initiative aims to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency across the state's industrial sector.

The Haryana government has initiated a Rs 564 crore plan to transition industrial units to cleaner fuels over five years. This includes converting 1,000 biomass-based boilers to run on piped natural gas (PNG) with financial support of up to Rs 20 lakh per unit, backed by a Rs 200 crore budget.
Additionally, 2,400 units will receive incentives for adopting less polluting generator sets, with Rs 330 crore allocated for this purpose. The initiative also involves establishing two common boilers in Sonipat and Panipat to support smaller units, with a budget of Rs 30 crore for capital subsidies and running costs.
The project aims to start in March and enhance compliance with emission norms. The shift to cleaner technology in brick kilns has been earmarked with a Rs 4 crore budget, highlighting a multifaceted approach to emissions reduction.
