Haryana Government Issues Tender for 350 Off-Grid Solar Systems with Battery Backup
Haryana has launched a tender for the deployment of 350 off-grid solar plants with battery energy storage systems, highlighting a commitment to decentralized energy. The project requires rapid execution, with a three-month commissioning timeline and a seven-year maintenance obligation for selected bidders.

The Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) has issued a tender for 350 off-grid solar power systems, each ranging from 1 kW to 3 kW, to be installed across Haryana and Chandigarh. Bidders must complete the project within three months of receiving the work order and are responsible for installation, maintenance, and user training for seven years.
Payments are structured based on milestones, with 50% upon supply and 40% after installation. The tender emphasizes compliance with technical standards, requiring the use of lithium iron phosphate batteries and adherence to the Electricity Act, 2003.
Eligible bidders must have prior experience with at least 250 kW of solar installations and demonstrate an average annual turnover of ₹2.25 crore over the past three years. This initiative supports national goals for increased solar adoption and domestic manufacturing under the ALMM framework.
