HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has successfully verified that its HiMSEN engine operates reliably on ethanol fuel, conducting tests on the H32DF-LM 4-stroke methanol dual-fuel platform. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Engine & Machinery has confirmed that its HiMSEN engine operates stably on ethanol fuel. Testing was conducted on the 4-stroke methanol dual-fuel engine platform (H32DF-LM), focusing on startability, combustion stability, power output stability, and exhaust gas characteristics.
The tests ensured stable operation at all load points while utilizing existing methanol engine hardware.
