Hermeus Secures $350M in Series C Funding, Valuing Company at $1B
Hermeus has raised $350 million in a Series C funding round, achieving a valuation of $1 billion. The funding will accelerate the development of hypersonic unmanned aircraft for national security applications, as the company aims to transition from prototyping to operational readiness.

Hermeus has secured $350 million in a Series C funding round, consisting of $200 million in equity and $150 million in debt, bringing total capital raised to over $500 million. Key investors include Khosla Ventures, Canaan Partners, and RTX Ventures, with additional contributions from Cox Enterprises and Destiny Tech100.
The company is advancing its manufacturing capabilities and plans to build three F-16-scale hypersonic aircraft. Recent developments include a successful flight of the Quarterhorse Mk 2.1 and the establishment of a new headquarters in El Segundo, California.
The strategic partnership with RTX subsidiary Pratt & Whitney enhances Hermeus's engine development, facilitating faster iteration and government contracting opportunities. The growing defense tech sector, which saw over $9 billion in investments last year, supports Hermeus's mission to address national security needs with high-speed aviation technology.
