Hudson Valley Community College to Receive $850K for Autonomous Electric Vehicle Lab
Hudson Valley Community College will receive $850,000 in federal funding for an autonomous and electric vehicle lab under a $14 million allocation for projects in New York's 20th Congressional District. Rep.
Paul Tonko announced the funding for 15 projects across Troy, Albany, Schenectady, and Saratoga Springs. The college has initiated workforce training programs, including an electric vehicle program launched last year.
Additionally, the college is expanding its facilities with a $64 million Applied Technology Education Center to address the demand for skilled professionals in the region. Tonko also secured over $1 million for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and funding for upgrades at the University at Albany's semiconductor research lab.
