Imagination Technologies Joins CHASSIS in Automotive Chiplet Initiative
Imagination Technologies has contributed its ASIL-B certified DXS GPU IP to the CHASSIS program's Automotive Base Die, a 5nm chiplet project. This collaboration aims to establish an open chiplet ecosystem essential for software-defined vehicles, enhancing in-vehicle infotainment and AI capabilities.

Imagination Technologies has provided its DXS GPU IP to the Automotive Base Die in the CHASSIS program, focusing on a 5nm chiplet project. This initiative, supported by BMW, imec, and Bosch, aims to create an open chiplet framework for automotive systems, enhancing flexibility and innovation.
The Automotive Base Die will serve as an integration hub for automotive SoC infrastructure, facilitating third-party chiplet integration via the UCIe standard. Funded by the Chips-JU program, this project underscores Europe's commitment to advancing semiconductor design and manufacturing in the automotive sector, potentially improving competition and supply chain agility.
