India and Japan Collaborate on First Micro Substation with Power Voltage Transformer
India has launched its first Micro Substation equipped with a Power Voltage Transformer (PVT), marking a key advancement in power distribution technology. This project, a collaboration between Indian and Japanese entities, was executed by Nissin Electric Co., Ltd. and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) with support from NEDO, Japan and PFC. The initiative aims to enhance power distribution efficiency and support urban electricity infrastructure.

India has inaugurated its first Micro Substation featuring a Power Voltage Transformer (PVT), showcasing collaboration between Indian and Japanese stakeholders. The project was executed by Nissin Electric Co., Ltd. and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), with support from NEDO, Japan and PFC.
The micro substation aims to improve power distribution efficiency and reliability while accommodating distributed energy resources in urban areas. The event was attended by high-level officials from both nations, emphasizing strengthened India-Japan ties in clean energy and smart grid technology.
