India is developing a comprehensive semiconductor supply chain, with 10 major units anticipated to have a significant global presence. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to create millions of high-quality jobs through extensive capital investment in manufacturing and engineering sectors.
The government is also investing around Rs 75,000 crore in maritime and aerospace sectors to establish high-end engineering capabilities and a domestic Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) network, reducing reliance on foreign facilities. The creation of new partnerships is expected to enhance growth opportunities for Indian startups and professionals, positioning India as a key player in global markets.
