The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) is launching two Centres of Excellence in Ahmedabad and Guwahati to strengthen India's semiconductor ecosystem. Supported by a recent Cabinet approval for ISM 2.0, which allocates approximately Rs 1.28 lakh crore, the initiative emphasizes skill development and reinforcement of manufacturing capabilities.
The centres will provide training in OSAT and ATMP processes, collaborating with companies such as Tata Electronics and Infineon.
