India's Suryastra Rocket Launcher Secures ₹293 Crore Contract After Successful Trials
The Suryastra multi-calibre rocket launcher has demonstrated a CEP of under 5 meters in pre-contract trials. A ₹293 crore deal reflects confidence in its operational readiness and enhances India's artillery capabilities.

India's Suryastra rocket launcher system has achieved a circular error probable (CEP) of less than 5 meters, successfully completing pre-contract trials. A contract worth ₹293 crore has been signed, indicating strong confidence in the system's capabilities.
Developed by NIBE Limited in collaboration with Elbit Systems, Suryastra can fire multiple rocket calibres, including 122mm, 306mm, and 370mm, and has an operational range of up to 300 km. This system serves as a countermeasure to Pakistan's Fatah-II rockets and provides interim capabilities until the Pinaka-ER variant is operational. The delivery of initial units for validation trials marks a significant advancement in India's artillery modernization efforts.
