indie Semiconductor has been selected by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited to supply in-cabin driver and occupant monitoring systems for the Electric Origin SUVs XEV 9e and BE 6. This partnership integrates indie's CABIN EYE perception software, acquired from emotion3D, with Mahindra's EyeDentity hardware platform.

The XEV 9e and BE 6 have achieved a 5-star safety rating from Bharat-NCAP. The monitoring systems will detect driver drowsiness, responsiveness, and occupant positioning, with Mahindra's OTA capabilities allowing for continuous software updates. The software minimizes processing requirements and adapts to various camera setups.
