Indonesia and Japan Sign 10 MoUs Valued at IDR 384 Trillion
The signing of 10 strategic MoUs between Indonesia and Japan, worth approximately IDR 384 trillion, signals a significant commitment to economic collaboration, particularly in clean energy and technology sectors. Ten memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed between Indonesian and Japanese companies, totaling approximately IDR 384.2 trillion (USD 22.6 billion) during the Indonesia-Japan Business Forum in Tokyo. The agreements cover various sectors, including clean energy projects, oil and gas exploration, geothermal energy development, and financial ecosystem strengthening.
Notable partnerships include collaborations for methanol production utilizing CO2 emissions, gas field development, semiconductor ecosystem enhancement, and strategic financial initiatives. This collaboration reflects growing confidence in Indonesia's economic prospects and aims to foster a more modern and competitive economy.
