ROHM Semiconductor Launches 1.3kW Half-Bridge LLC Converter for High-Power Applications
ROHM Semiconductor has introduced a 1.3 kW half-bridge LLC resonant converter evaluation board designed for high-power applications. This board targets data centers, battery backup units, and industrial equipment, facilitating high-current power conversion with peak efficiency of 97%.

The evaluation board operates from a 390 V DC input, providing a regulated output of 12 V DC with a maximum current of 108 A. It achieves a rated output power of 1 kW and can deliver up to 1.3 kW under specific conditions.
Power MOSFETs are used for the primary side, while synchronous-rectification MOSFETs are employed on the secondary side. The half-bridge LLC configuration is optimized for efficiency and includes documentation such as schematics and PCB layouts for further analysis. This design supports high-efficiency power architectures, making it suitable for applications requiring high current and low output voltage, with potential impacts on energy efficiency in power supply systems.
