The Indonesian government, through BP Danantara, has partnered with UK-based Arm Limited Technology to target an 8% economic growth by 2028-2029. Arm Limited, a key player in global chip design, holds significant market shares in automotive chips and AI technology.
The partnership includes training 15,000 local engineers in the semiconductor field. President Prabowo Subianto attended the signing ceremony in London on February 23, 2026. This initiative aims to build local capabilities and avoid past reliance on foreign partnerships that lacked domestic skill development.
