Infineon Enhances Power Semiconductor Calibration with Automated Test Bench
Infineon Technologies has automated its temperature calibration process for power semiconductors, enhancing testing efficiency and accuracy. This development allows for the simultaneous calibration of up to 32 modules, significantly reducing setup times and increasing overall equipment efficiency.

Infineon Technologies has implemented an automated temperature calibration test bench at its Warstein facility, enabling the calibration of power semiconductors with high precision. The new system, utilizing Beckhoff's PC-based control, allows for the measurement of up to 32 modules simultaneously, improving throughput and accuracy.
It reduces setup time by approximately one hour per test and permits overnight testing without supervision. The test bench is equipped with EtherCAT terminals, providing 24-bit resolution and 0.01% accuracy.
Future developments include automating the retrieval of temperature characteristics from a central database, further increasing operational efficiency. The next phase also involves expanding this system to Hungary.
