Infineon Technologies Opens R&D Office in Cork for Automotive and Consumer Microelectronics

Infineon Technologies has established a new R&D office in Cork, Ireland, aimed at innovations in automotive and consumer microelectronics, including battery management, motor control, and touchscreens. The company is hiring for various roles in analog and digital design, architecture, and verification to support the development of new technologies that drive global digitalisation and decarbonisation.
This expansion is backed by a €60m investment in Irish operations, expected to create around 100 jobs. The initiative reflects Ireland's strong talent pool and its role in the semiconductor sector.
