Italgas Launches Digital Reverse Flow Facility in Gazzo Veronese
Italgas inaugurated a Digital Reverse Flow facility in Gazzo Veronese with an investment of approximately €2 million. This facility enhances local biogas integration, aiming for energy security and reduced CO2 emissions.

Italgas has invested approximately €2 million in a new Digital Reverse Flow facility in Gazzo Veronese, which will receive biogas from four production plants, collectively providing up to 12 million cubic meters of gas annually. This capacity can satisfy the average annual consumption of around 13,000 families.
The technology allows for the compression and transportation of excess biogas to the regional and national networks when local production exceeds demand. The facility will be integrated into the Italgas network, monitored via DANA (Digital Advanced Network Automation) for real-time management. This initiative supports regional energy resilience and job creation, as Italgas continues to expand its operations in the North-East of Italy.
