Jalna Fuel Pumps Directed to Reserve Stock for Emergency Services
Jalna district officials mandate fuel pumps to reserve 5% of stock for emergency vehicles amid panic buying. This order aims to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply to essential services, including health and municipal departments.

The Jalna district Collector has mandated that fuel pump owners reserve five percent of their fuel stock specifically for emergency service vehicles. This reserved fuel is designated for use by departments such as police, fire brigade, health services, and disaster management among others.
Additionally, a new regulation prohibits dispensing fuel into plastic containers, requiring that all fuel be provided directly to vehicle tanks. This initiative follows reports of panic buying in Marathwada, although Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reassured the public about sufficient fuel availability, urging against hoarding which disrupts supply chains.
