JH-Computers has been looking for financing for a district heating network in Stödtlen and Niederroden since 2019. The project proposes to supply heat from the company's data center and a biogas-powered CHP plant, capable of generating 2.5 million kilowatt-hours of heat annually.
Although there is municipal support and a suitable heat supplier, the project faces financial hurdles, with costs estimated at 5 to 6 million euros.
