Jindal Stainless has been awarded the 'Brand of the Year - CSR' in the Platinum category at the Sambad Corporate Excellence Awards 2026 for its CSR initiatives in Odisha. The award was presented by Odisha's Minister of State for Industries at a ceremony on January 30.

Meanwhile, Vedanta Aluminium has progressed on its ₹1.28 lakh crore aluminium manufacturing project in Odisha, following the allotment of over 1,447 acres of land in Dhenkanal by the state government. This greenfield project includes a 3 million tonnes per annum aluminium smelter and a 4,900 MW captive power plant.

The land allocation allows Vedanta to proceed with preparatory activities and aligns with its strategy to boost domestic aluminium production. Additionally, Odisha has approved Sancode Technologies' OSAT facility, further strengthening its semiconductor manufacturing ambitions.
