Jindal Steel Group aims to achieve a production capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum in Oman, enhancing its contribution to the GDP and non-oil GDP. The strategy includes ensuring that at least 25% of steel production is consumed domestically by 2035.

The Group has invested in an integrated complex at Sohar Port, featuring a 2 million tpa DRI plant and a 2.4 million tpa steel melt shop. Additionally, a 5 million tpa low-carbon steel project is under construction in Duqm, expected to be operational by Q1 2027. This project is positioned to meet rising demand from various industries due to upcoming decarbonization regulations.
