John T Essberger Orders Two Chemical Tankers with Financing from HCOB
John T Essberger Group has ordered two 13,000-dwt chemical tankers, Ann-Mari Essberger and Nofretete Essberger, from a Chinese shipyard, with financing provided by Hamburg Commercial Bank under a nearly 14-year loan agreement. Set for delivery in mid-2027, the vessels will operate in the North and Baltic Seas, featuring methanol-capable engines and compliance with IMO Tier III emissions standards. Each tanker will include 18 stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 15,000 m³ and will be integrated into the E&S Tankers Pool.

John T Essberger Group has ordered two 13,000-dwt chemical tankers, Ann-Mari Essberger and Nofretete Essberger, from a Chinese yard, financed by Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB) under a loan agreement of nearly 14 years. The vessels, scheduled for delivery in mid-2027, will operate in the North Sea and Baltic Sea, featuring engines capable of running on methanol and complying with IMO Tier III nitrogen oxide emissions standards.
Each tanker will have 18 stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 15,000 m³. These tankers will join the E&S Tankers Pool, managed by John T Essberger Group, which has a fleet of 46 ships.
