K-water Resumes Water Pipeline Project for Yongin Semiconductor Complex After Regulatory Approval
The Board of Audit and Inspection facilitated the resolution of a permit delay for a water pipeline project critical for the Yongin Semiconductor National Industrial Complex, allowing K-water to proceed with the installation. The 46.9-kilometer pipeline, which will supply 310,000 cubic meters of water daily, is set to be completed by 2030 with an investment of approximately 843.2 billion Korean won.

K-water is resuming its project to install a 46.9-kilometer industrial water pipeline from Paldang Lake to the Yongin Semiconductor National Industrial Complex after receiving a permit from the Han River Basin Environmental Office. The project, involving an investment of about 843.2 billion Korean won, aims to supply 310,000 cubic meters of water daily by 2030.
A pre-consultation by the Board of Audit and Inspection resolved a delay related to the installation of an 8.3-kilometer section near the river, which had faced permit issues for over a year. The Board determined that K-water could proceed under specific conditions to ensure environmental safety, leading to the granting of the necessary permits.
