Kazakhstan to Build CIS's First Sustainable Aviation and Automotive Fuel Plant
Kazakhstan plans to construct the first green fuel plant in the CIS for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and eco-friendly automotive fuel. The initiative, a collaboration between KazMunayGas and American partners, involves an investment of $200 million and aims for an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons. This facility is intended to reduce carbon emissions in transportation and position Kazakhstan as a leader in clean fuel production while attracting foreign investment.

Kazakhstan will build the first green fuel plant in the CIS, focusing on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and eco-friendly automotive fuel. This project, a joint effort between KazMunayGas and U.S. partners, will have an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons and requires an investment of approximately $200 million.
The plant aims to decrease carbon emissions in both aviation and road transport, enhancing Kazakhstan's status in the clean fuel market. The initiative is expected to foster foreign investment and contribute to the development of related green technologies in the region.
