Kenya and Mozambique Sign Three MoUs to Enhance Trade, Security, and Investment Cooperation
Kenya and Mozambique signed three Memoranda of Understanding to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, security, and investment. The MoUs were witnessed by Presidents William Ruto and Daniel Chapo in Nairobi. Key areas of focus include pharmaceuticals, agriculture, tourism, and the blue economy. Both nations aim to enhance trade linkages, tourism, and energy cooperation, and reaffirmed their commitment to counter-terrorism and regional stability. The countries have signed a total of 20 MoUs over the years, fostering mutual benefits.

The countries aim to improve trade linkages, with a focus on addressing tariff and non-tariff barriers. They plan to explore energy partnerships, particularly in natural gas and coal, to meet growing energy needs.
Both nations are committed to counter-terrorism efforts and regional stability, having previously signed 20 agreements that yielded tangible benefits. Additionally, the mutual recognition of driving licenses will facilitate road travel for citizens.
