Kongsberg Maritime has been contracted by Consórcio Marenova to design and equip four methanol/ethanol-ready handy-size product tankers for Transpetro. The contract, exceeding 300 million NOK, covers complete ship design and integrated systems, including propulsion and navigation technologies.

The tankers will be built at Consórcio Marenova, which includes Ecovix and MacLaren, and will measure 150.6 meters in length with a deadweight of approximately 15,600 dwt. Kongsberg's NVC 615 PT designs aim to combine operational efficiency with adaptability for future fuels. This partnership leverages local infrastructure and global expertise.
