Kpone-Katamanso MCE Intervenes to Prevent ZONDA from Blocking Public Road in Golf City
Kpone-Katamanso MCE Samuel Tetteh Kwashie Morton intervened to stop ZONDA, a Chinese firm, from blocking a public road at Golf City. Following resident complaints about ZONDA's ongoing works, Morton visited the site on February 22, 2026. The MCE ordered an immediate halt to activities, asserting the road is a public access route. Residents reported intimidation attempts and infrastructure obstruction, including the severing of power lines. Morton assured the community of adherence to due process to protect public infrastructure.

The Municipal Chief Executive of Kpone-Katamanso, Samuel Tetteh Kwashie Morton, intervened to prevent ZONDA, a Chinese automobile company, from blocking a public road in Golf City. Following complaints from residents, Morton visited the site on February 22, 2026, and directed workers to cease operations immediately.
Residents alleged that ZONDA's activities were unlawfully annexing a public road, forcing commuters to take longer routes. Additionally, claims were made about intimidation of community leaders and obstruction of electricity transmission lines.
Preliminary satellite assessments indicated a designated road of over 400 meters within the disputed area. Morton assured residents that measures would be taken to protect public access routes.
