Kurita Water Industries Ltd. will participate in a public-private initiative in Japan aimed at obtaining certification for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) feedstock under the CORSIA framework. The company intends to recover oils and fats from wastewater generated by food factories and other facilities for use in SAF production.
As a pilot operator, Kurita will receive support for discussions with Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and assistance with ICAO applications.
