Kurt J. Lesker Co. Secures $10M Investment for Expansion in Pennsylvania
The Kurt J. Lesker Co. is set to expand operations in Pennsylvania with a $10 million investment, supported by a $340,000 contribution from the state. This initiative will create 39 new jobs and retain 299 positions, enhancing capabilities in advanced material deposition for various high-tech applications.

The Kurt J. Lesker Co. has obtained a $10 million investment to expand its operations in Pennsylvania, with the state contributing $340,000. This expansion will result in the creation of 39 jobs and the retention of 299 existing positions.
The company will partner with Penn State University for research in atomic layering deposition, which will also generate five new jobs in State College. Additionally, its headquarters in Jefferson Hills, Allegheny County, will see the creation of 34 new jobs to support equipment production for atomic layer deposition.
A funding proposal includes a $300,000 Pennsylvania First grant and a $40,000 WEDNetPA grant for employee training. The investment enhances capabilities in semiconductor and protective coating technologies, potentially impacting the industry by supporting advancements in high-performance devices.
