Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) plans to award the construction contract for the Bahra (A) 132kV 72 megawatt (MW) substation and associated overhead transmission lines in Q2 2026. The tender was released on 12 October 2025, with bids due by 11 January 2026.

The contract is expected to be awarded in April 2026, with project completion targeted for Q4 2027. This project is intended to enhance KOC's upstream operations in the Bahra field area.
