Laguna Beach, California, aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2040, initiating a Fleet Electrification Implementation Plan. The city plans to replace 185 internal combustion vehicles with electric ones, starting with 125 non-emergency vehicles, at an estimated cost of $6.53 million. A $139,000 contract was awarded to ICF for consulting on the project, which will cost approximately $32.7 million over 15 years. Additionally, plans include electrifying the trolley system and developing charging infrastructure with funding from SoCal Edison.
