Leinweber Foundation Commits $50M to Michigan State University for Innovation Center
Michigan State University (MSU) has received a $50 million donation from the Leinweber Foundation to establish the Leinweber Center for Engineering and Digital Innovation. This donation is the largest ever made toward a facility at MSU.
The new 265,000-square-foot center will focus on research areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and semiconductor studies. MSU President Kevin M. Guskiewicz highlighted that this investment is crucial for educating future engineers and innovators, contributing to Michigan's economic future. The College of Engineering Interim Dean, John Papapolymerou, emphasized that this funding will create a world-class environment for research and innovation.
