LG Innotek Expands Semiconductor Substrate Production in Vietnam
LG Innotek has initiated an expansion of its semiconductor substrate production in Hai Phong, Vietnam, targeting over 3 trillion won in sales by 2030. This strategic move aims to enhance capacity in response to the growing demand for advanced substrates driven by 5G and AI technologies.

LG Innotek is expanding its semiconductor substrate production with a new facility in Hai Phong, Vietnam, set to begin construction in July 2026 and complete by May 2027. The 330,000 square meter site will produce RF-SiP, FC-CSP, and FC-BGA substrates, supporting a dual production strategy alongside its Gumi site.
This expansion is driven by increasing global demand for semiconductor substrates, with current production in Gumi nearing full capacity. The Hai Phong facility is expected to enhance production efficiency and competitiveness. Additionally, domestic investments in Gumi continue, with a prior commitment of 600 billion won aimed at boosting packaging capabilities.
