Linde Partners with Monash University Malaysia for Decarbonisation Initiatives
Linde, Monash University Malaysia, and MIDA have initiated a partnership to enhance industrial decarbonisation efforts in Malaysia. This collaboration aligns with Malaysia's goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, focusing on practical applications and knowledge exchange in sustainability.

Linde Malaysia, Monash University Malaysia, and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) have formed a partnership aimed at accelerating decarbonisation in the industrial sector. This initiative was announced during the Linde-Monash University Sustainability Conference 2026, which gathered around 400 participants to explore technologies for a lower-carbon industrial landscape.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed to facilitate collaboration in education and sustainability initiatives. Discussions included hydrogen, carbon capture, and cleaner combustion technologies. Linde's sustainability report noted that 50% of its electricity came from low-carbon sources in 2025, and the company continues to expand its renewable electricity usage. The collaboration aligns with Malaysia's National Energy Transition Roadmap and addresses the increasing demand from energy-intensive industries for emissions reductions.
