LS Power Grid California Begins Construction of Manning Substation in Fresno County
LS Power Grid California has commenced construction of the Manning Substation in Fresno County, California, which will reinforce the Central Valley electric grid. The project involves a $200 million investment and the creation of approximately 100 construction jobs. The substation will feature a 500/230-kV design and a 12-mile double-circuit transmission line, enhancing grid reliability and access to diverse generation resources in the San Joaquin region.

LS Power Grid California has begun construction of the Manning Substation in Fresno County, California, aimed at reinforcing the Central Valley electric grid. The project includes a new 500/230-kV substation and a 12-mile, 230-kV double-circuit transmission line, with an investment exceeding $200 million.
Approximately 100 jobs will be created during construction. Once operational, Manning will enhance grid reliability and provide greater access to lower-cost energy sources. The California Independent System Operator selected LS Power Grid California to develop Manning due to its cost containment capabilities. This project is one of five transmission developments by LS Power Grid California in California.
